Summer in Oudtshoorn South Africa, my home town.

A few weird things happened this summer.

While I was watering the grass in our backyard, I felt the need to look inside of our swimming pool. I caught a little mouse swimming in the swimming pool. I quickly ran into the house to fetch my phone, so that I could have proof of what happened.

The mouse didn't really swim, it was more like chilling and walking around in the water. This was quite a funny thing for me to see. I have to say the weather that day was flipping hot, so I can't blame the little guy for wanting to cool down in our swimming pool. I went back into the house to charge my phone. When I came back out, the mouse ran away. I guess he finished his daily swimming.

A few weeks later, while we were having a braai, I saw something getting into our swimming pool in our backyard. I wasn't sure what it was. But as I stood up out of my chair, I saw a small snake in our swimming pool. It had also decided to go for a dip. Hot summer days causing animals to take a swim in our swimming pool.

It was so cool but scary at the same time to see how the snake moved its body side to side to swim. After a few minutes my father and I decided to take it out of the swimming pool. It was quite a challenge for my dad to take it out as I was busy filming the whole event. My dad used the swimming pool's broom to try and take it out but every time the snake slid of from the broom. Eventually we managed to get it out. We watched as it moved from our backyard into the neighbours backyard. Hopefully they knew how to take care of it.

I wonder what I'll see happen next.
